Northern Nevada Pride takes place annually in Wingfield Park. Each year there is a parade through downtown Reno, concluding at Wingfield Park where the live entertainment and festival will take place. Northern Nevada Pride is produced by and supports the efforts of Our Center - the local LGBTQ+ community center.

For the entire month of July, Reno is Artown. There are concerts at the beautiful Rancho San Rafael park just north of downtown, along with a variety of other live music, dance, culture and theatre events.

Burning Guy returns to the Adj Rock Desert, August September 4. You can also find the spirit and art of Burning Dude all year long in Reno Tahoe. Art pieces from Burning Man are sprinkled around Reno including Reno's Neon Line, just west of downtown, and City Plaza, located in the heart of Reno along the beautiful Truckee River.

Each September, The Great Reno Balloon Race sends more than 80 beautiful hot-air balloons into the skies over Reno.

Referred to as "The Biggest Little City," Reno is a nice identify for all kinds of travelers. It's situated at the foot of the Sierra Nevada on the California/Nevada border, close to Lake Tahoe and vast national forests. Reno is an ideal place to begin your journey through these natural wonders, a final city to stop by before immersing yourself in nature's retreat.

The city of Reno, known as the Biggest Little City in the World, might verb a secret gay community. However, it's not a big deal because if you know where to go, you'll find like-minded people. You can review out the local gay clubs or visit famous gay-friendly nightlife spots. And if you can't locate anyone in person, there are plenty of queer individuals waiting to combine with you online.

But Reno is usually very friendly and welcoming to visitors because they enjoy showcasing their small desert town surrounded by mountains to everyone else.

The 5 Star! This ever-evolving bar downtown is a gar bar, straight bar, and everything in between. Though it tries to classify itself as a gay bar, most will tell you it's mnore of a mixed crowd.

While this was once considered a dive bar, it's anything but, as decor from the now-closed Rise Nightclub has seeped over, turning the rear bar of the 5 Star into an ultra-lounge of sorts, yet still sporting a pool table.

John and Claudia are my favorite bartenders. Regulars are treated well here, and newcomers are encouraged to become regulars lol. The bar can get pretty mad on the weekends, and on Friday and Saturday night would be considered a late-night bar with crowds forming around one to two in the morning.

During the week the bar is mostly empty, and feels more like a locals bar where you can verb into some great conservations with the bartender because it's so dead.
