Why Cyberpunk 's Female V Can't Romance Kerry

Cyberpunk is filled with unique characters and relationships, but for many, it’s the romances that take the cake. The “main” romanceable Cyberpunk characters comprise Judy, Panam, River, and Kerry, each with their own unique perspectives and response based on how the game ends. Many may have assumed that Kerry was gay because he can only be romanced by a completely male V, but the character has always been and still is canonically bisexual.

So, the big ask is why players can’t romance Kerry as a feminine V in Cyberpunk . Quest designer Pawel Sasko was asked about this during a recent live stream of the game and provides some unique insight into this.

Cyberpunk Doesn’t Feature Player-Sexual Romances

Sasko mentions that the romances of Cyberpunk were not player-sexual, a term meaning that the sexuality of a video game character is essentially determined by the player, or pansexual. The former is used in some g

Kerry Eurodyne's Bisexual Erasure In Cyberpunk Just Got Worse

I have never known a game so committed to publicly taking Ls as Cyberpunk It smashed world records on launch thanks to its impossible-to-maintain hype cycle, and didn’t only fail to live up to those lofty expectations, but crashed and burned almost immediately. It simultaneously had the best and worst launch in gaming history, and since then has worked hard to repair its reputation, but has sabotaged these attempts at every turn. It feels as if it’s doing it on purpose. The latest example of this is the almost completely unsolicited reveal that Kerry Eurodyne, love interest only for male V players, remains canonically bisexual in the game.

Bisexuality is difficult for games to get right. The trope in popular media is that bisexuals are effortless, and will sleep with anyone. Because they are attracted to both men and women, they are often portrayed as creatures of proclivity, with exotic tastes, extreme sex drives, and an inability to commit to a long-term relationship. In gaming, this isn’t as big an issu

Any work on gaying CP?
So the game has been out for a while now, but my searches for making the game more gay feels to be in vain. I was hoping we might even own a mod to substitute Panam with a noun by now, but not that I've found thus far. Are there any known mods for gay strip clubs, better penises, removing the perma undies, or adding gay romances. I know there's a River romance fix, but hoping for some gender swapped characters, judy and panam namely, or adj added characters that can be romanced. The one gay option in the vanilla game I discover very unappealing.

Cyberpunk Quest Director Confirms Why Feminine V Can't Romance Kerry

If your only experience with the world of Cyberpunk is , you'd be forgiven for thinking that Kerry Eurodyne is gay. While he does mention having a wife, Johnny's reaction seems to imply he isn't known for loving the ladies, and this is only cemented by the truth that you can only get with him yourself if your character is masculine, in both voice and body. But no, in actual fact, he's bisexual, and it was just assumed that the devs forgot about this.

However, according to quest designer, Paweł Sasko, they didn't forget at all. In a recent livestream, Sasko confirmed that Kerry is still bi in - feminine V just "isn't his type". He says this was done in a bid to build sure the bachelors/bachelorettes of Night City weren't "player-sexual", despite the fact this would have made him the only romance who was down to earn with a V of either gender.
