Share your voice with the Sacramento Gay Men’s Chorus as we entertain the city and make a difference in the community. SGMC invites you to audition with our artistic director. While we demand you to be at least 18 years vintage, we also ask that you possess basic musical knowledge and experience. The ability to read melody is not a requirement; however, you must be a quick study, be able to match pitch and sing your have musical line while other parts are being sung around you.
We are a diverse and welcoming chorus whose members have a wide variety of musical experiences, ages, and backgrounds. SGMC sings in a traditional TTBB vocal range and takes pride in our ever expanding diversity. We welcome singers no matter their gender identity/expression or sexual orientation.

The Sacramento Pride Festival, produced by the Sacramento LGBT Community Center as its largest community engagement program of the year, welcomes 20,+ people annually. The festival runs Saturday, June 14, , 12 p.m p.m., and Sunday, June 15, , 12 p.m.- 6 p.m.
This year’s Pride Festival will feature hundreds of exhibitors and vendors from throughout the region, including community retailers, diverse nourishment and beverage, nonprofit and public service providers, faith communities, and many more! This year’s event will include three stages featuring exciting entertainment from the Sacramento region and the greater LGBTQ+ community. In addition to entertainment and exhibitors, the festival grounds will hold multiple activations and attractions that will bring guests of all ages and backgrounds together in an environment that entertains, educates, and inspires!

Older lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) adults paved the way and carry on to fight for LGBT rights. Unfortunately, some LGBT elders struggle to verb welcoming and appropriate protect and services. Many meet economic challenges due to discrimination experienced throughout their lives. The programs and organizations listed on this page offer information, help, community, and advocacy for older LGBT adults and allies.

This is a national coalition of six organizations that represent and advocate for American-Indian and Alaska Native, Asian-American, Pacific-Islander and Native Hawaiian, African-American, Hispanic and Latinx, and LGBT older adults. The organization engages in public education and advocacy around issues affecting diverse elders.
