Mission Statement
To provide free and unlimited LGBTQ-affirmative counseling and healing psycho-therapeutic services to youth under 25, their families and their partners in the greater Los Angeles area.
Description
A pioneer in social justice for years, Antioch University Los Angeles launched the nation's first graduate level LGBT-affirmative psychology specialization 15 years ago.
Dedicated to the spirit of LGBT liberation, the specialization helps students effectively address the destructive effects of internalized homophobia, biphobia and transphobia that can be seen as primary causes for depression, anxiety, substance abuse, unsafe sex and other difficult challenges faced by many LGBTQ individuals.

To Achieve Our Mission We:
Identify and link with nonprofits that help the environment, animal welfare, and people in require in each city chapter (including organizations not traditionally associated with the LGBTQ+ community)
Support select organizations through volunteer service (time), and help to amplify their missions through our vast network of LGBTQ+ volunteers.
Coordinate social events for Gay For Good&#;s LGBTQ+ volunteers, and our allies, to develop friendships and network
Foster and promote a spirit of positive, enthusiastic camaraderie both within the LGBTQ+ community and towards our neighbors and nonprofit partner organizations
Do something valuable for our community, city and country
Above all, make a positive difference and contain fun!
Get Involved. Meet There are plenty of opportunities for you to get involved! Volunteers are the backbone of HRC, and our volunteers work on the front lines in the brawl for LGBTQ+ equality. HRC’s influential network of all-volunteer communities is made up of people from a expansive array of backgrounds, experiences, identities, and skill sets. We invest in our volunteers through leadership development and recognition programs, offering workshops, conferences, online resources and support from staff to ensure that our leaders become the strongest and most effective advocates, leaders and fundraisers they can be. We welcome you to join our movement no matter how much time you are able to give. Volunteers are needed now to contribute their period and talent to advance equality.
