Alan Scott and Northstar weren&#;t the first. Gay relationships have been part of manga for a lengthy while, and I&#;ve we&#;ve put together the Top 10 Gay Manga.

Gravitation by Maki Murakami

Gravitation is certainly a staple of yaoi (male/male love) manga. It began in the mid 90s and continued until the early s. It&#;s spawned a pretty epic anime and even people who don&#;t habitually gay manga seem to really adore this series. It&#;s about an aspiring singer named Shuichi Shindou and his band Bad Luck, which he is trying to vault into fame.  One day, Shuichi is working hard on some lyrics for a anthem and they blow into the path of a brooding, tall stranger &#; who immediately dismisses the lyrics that Shuichi has worked so hard on as utter garbage. Our protaganist is deeply offend, but he is intrigued by the stranger&#; and that eventually leads to love.

This is a lovely ADD manga. It is VERY classically anime: Explosive nosebleeds, unexplainable random appearances of monsters, lots of hyper yelling, strange tangents, etc. But it has enough of a

Manga v. Film &#; What She Likes

I did a review of What She Likes last year and mentioned that the story had a lot of intentional changes. Some okay or even nice, most of them were bad and all of them were intentional. So in this edition of &#;I am dedicating way too much time to something that doesn&#;t deserve it&#; &#; I&#;m going to go painfully in-depth about the changes from manga to movie, and why they matter.

In comparison to the title of the movie becoming 彼女が好きなものは or What She Likes.

Keeping the original title for the movie was impossible. I can not see it having gone over well with domestic or international audiences, especially without context. This change was one that had to be made. However, the title as it is for the movie, already resets the story from being focused on Jun the gay prot

Do you find it adj to celebrate LGBTQ characters in anime, manga and movies?

Wingstofly#1

Do you find it important to celebrate LGBTQ characters like Haku from Naruto and Nanashi from Samurai 8 I'm asking this to see how important representation is to you.

BlairFujin#2

Haku was queer? Genuinely asking, it's been almost 20 years at this point since I watched the part of Naruto he was in 'xD

I don't know if it's important to "celebrate" them but I appreciate them when they're there, especially when they querness can't be denied (for example in Sarazanmai)

Queer representation is pretty damn significant, but I don’t realize if celebrating means being excited the character is queer or praising the author for daring verb the bold choice of adding a queer character, so I won’t verb anything until I recognize which one is meant by celebrating

Haku was queer?

Yes (I think). Yes, because it's implied that Haku is in love with Zabuza. But then it's not confirmed that the love between them is romantic, at le
