Gay center garden party
With so many official events on the World Pride schedule this month, its difficult as an online blog contributor, to determine which events to cover. Of course, I verb I could cover them all but unfortunately, there is only one of me, so I own to be selective.
That said, obtaining press credentials for events is not always easy either, as its a highly competitive field. So, I am quite excited to share that I have been invited to cover one of the most highly anticipated WorldPride events next week: The LGBT Community Centers Garden Party.
The center promotes a welcoming environment where everyone is excepted and celebrated for who they are. LGBTQ communities of NYC benefit from a host of the centers programs including advocacy, health and wellness initiatives; arts, entertainment, cultural events; recovery, parenthood and family support services.

Get ready to salivate. Here’s what was served at the Center’s 29th Annual Garden Party: crab cake sliders, coconut cupcakes, mini croque monsieur, champignon crostini, tuna tartare with avocado mousse, pecan butterscotch bars, butter crunch and marzipan squares, summer tomato soup, citrus cake with blueberry and coconut filling and candied lime.

Each year, the Center’s Garden Party kicks off NYC Pride Week with its Monday evening fundraiser - and this year, Garden Party A Taste of Pride attracted nearly two thousand gourmands to its brand modern home at Hudson River Park’s tree-lined Pier 46 at the base of the Richard Meier-designed Perry Street towers.

The Center has been a place of celebration and Pride for all LGBTQ+ Recent Yorkers since our founding in , and this year’s Garden Party will be no exception.
Garden Party is a unique outdoor Pride celebration that kicks off Pride Week in New York City. The evening features various soft bites, open bar (varies by ticket type), melody from select NYC DJs, special guests, and more. Join us as we celebrate Pride and our vibrant LBGTQ+ community!
Weather: Garden Party is a rain or shine event, and will go on as long as Hudson River Park Trust deems it safe to collect. Should the weather be inclement, please plan ahead with appropriate attire/coverage.
