Romil & Jugal, directed by Nupur Asthana, is a wonderful love story of two gay men named Romil and Jugal. It is a desi take on William Shakespeare's timeless affection story of Romeo and Juliet, with a contemporary twist. The show is about two men who are completely in adore with one another, but for their love story, a lot of obstacles are on the road. They have to deal with bigoted neighbours, parents who are disapproving as well as the internalized homophobia.
The couple has a terrific on-screen chemistry that is a pleasure to watch. It is a lighthearted show that you will surely enjoy.
